Getting a Refund for Your Docchimo Commuter Pass

For a refund

The cost of a Docchimo Commuter Pass is calculated by adding a Docchimo commuter surcharge to the cost of a regular commuter pass.

When the passes are not needed anymore

  • 1 month commuter pass (* starting anytime within 7 days from the valid-from date, inclusive)

Refunds will be determined by adding the total of the return trip normal passenger fare for a regular commuter pass route plus the return trip normal passenger fare between Meidaimae and Shinjuku (Shibuya), used or unused, multiplying the total by the number of days (including the valid-from date), and deducting the product from the cost of the commuter pass. A refund fee of 220 yen will also be charged.

Calculation
Refund amount = Commuter pass cost - {(Return trip normal passenger fare for regular commuter pass x Days) + (Return trip passenger fare between Meidaimae and Shibuya/Shinjuku x Days) + Fee}

*1 month commuter passes cannot be refunded once it is past 8 days from the validity date.

*Refund cannot be made if there is no amount left with above calculation.

*The return trip normal passenger fare may exceed the cost of the Docchimo commuter pass (1,200 yen), depending on the number of days used. When this happens, the difference will be collected from the cost of your regular commuter pass.

  • 3 month and 6 month commuter pass (* Calculated by the same method used to calculate a 1 month commuter pass [see above], provided that use starts within 7 days from the valid-from date, inclusive.)

Refunds will be calculated by deducting the commuter pass fare for the period passed (rounded up to nearest month), used or unused, from the cost of the commuter pass. A refund fee of 220 yen will also be charged.

Calculation
1 month has passed = Commuter pass cost - (cost of a 1 month regular commuter pass + 1,200 yen [Docchimo commuter surcharge] + Fee)
2 months have passed = Commuter pass cost - {(cost of a 1 month regular commuter pass x 2) + (1,200 yen [cost of the Docchimo commuter surcharge] x 2) + Fee}
3 months have passed = Commuter pass cost - (cost of a 3 month regular commuter pass + 3,420 yen [Docchimo commuter surcharge] + Fee)
4 months have passed = Commuter pass cost - {(cost of a 3 month regular commuter pass + cost of a 1 month regular commuter pass) + (3,420 yen [Docchimo commuter surcharge] + 1,200 yen [Docchimo commuter surcharge]) + Fee}
5 months have passed = Commuter pass cost - {(cost of a 3 month regular commuter pass + cost of a 1 month regular commuter pass x 2) + (3,420 yen [Docchimo commuter surcharge] + 1,200 yen [Docchimo commuter surcharge] x 2) + Fee}

To change your route

If you need to change the route for your commuter pass, please purchase a new commuter pass for the new route in advance. The cost of the old commuter pass will be refunded after deducting the days used counted in 10-day blocks. A refund fee of 220 yen will also be charged.

*If you need to change your route using the same PASMO card, please tell the station staff. Note that it may be impossible to use the same PASMO card in some cases. Please ask the station staff for details.
