Chofu Area

Chōfu Station is two stations away from Tobitakyū Station, the closest station to Tokyo Stadium. This neighborhood has a variety of charms and attractions, including the Trie Keio Chofu shopping area at the station, as well as old temples, botanical gardens, and much else.

01Chōfu Station

From Shinjuku Station, the train to Chōfu Station in Chofu, Tokyo, takes about 15 minutes.

This large café and roasting hall is located in Trie Keio Chofu C Bldg. Watch the entire coffee-brewing process from roasting to percolating, and then take a few moments to enjoy a café that brings a smile to your face with just one cup of coffee.

Trie Keio Chofu
This shopping center is located next to Chōfu Station. In addition to the AEON Cinema THEATUS Chofu, movie theaters and the Bic Camera electronics retail store, the shopping center features some 80 shops of every genre, including fashion, restaurants, and cafes.

03Jindai Botanical Park

The only botanical park in Metropolitan Tokyo, these gardens are home to 100,000 plants of some 4,800 species. Divided into 30 blocks by plant type, including roses, azaleas, and plums, there is something to enjoy and discover in every season.

The highlight is a large greenhouse featuring a vast selection of unusual tropical plants. This collection of rare plants from around the world includes colorful tropical plants and even carnivorous plants.

04Fudatenjin Shrine

Fudatenjin Shrine is very old, and while the exact year of its establishment is unknown, it is said that it was founded 1,940 years ago. It is a prestigious shrine that provides various benefits such as good luck, prosperous business, health, learning, brewing and good match-ups, and it is usually crowded with many worshipers.

The statue of the bull standing along the approach to the shrine is revered as a messenger of the gods. Legend has it that an ailment in a particular part of the body can be cured by stroking the corresponding part of the bull. Many worshipers touch the metal bull so that now, parts of the bull have turned golden,
